Mill route - Day tour 5 - Around Espelkamp

A total of six mills can be found on this tour around the city of Espelkamp. In addition, there is the Museumshof Rahden, which showcases a typical 19th-century farmhouse. So, plan some time to explore everything at your leisure. The starting point is accessible from anywhere along the route. We recommend starting at Rahden train station. You can comfortably park your car here or simply arrive by train.

From here, you will cycle counterclockwise around the city of Espelkamp. In the west, you will come close to the Dümmer Nature Park. Thanks to the extensive flat landscape, you can easily spot the individual windmills like landmarks. Less clearly recognizable, however, are the Gut Stockhausen and the Eilhausen Water Mill, which you will encounter in the south of the loop. In the west, you will come across the Tonnenheide and Wehe windmills, which are nowadays often used as event venues. To conclude the tour, you can take some time to explore the Museumshof Rahden, if you haven't already done so at the beginning, before finally reaching your starting point.
