Dahler viewpoint tour - Wide views over the Paderborn high plain

The Paderborn high plateau is characterized by numerous wind turbines due to its wind richness. The often wide landscape appears rough in many places, unless it is broken up by valleys and small forested areas. The often stone-strewn fields further enhance this impression. But in good weather, you can enjoy beautiful views far across the country and get to know some typical features of this area, which is one of the largest karst landscapes in Germany.

An addition to the Dahler panoramic tour is the Paderborn Karst Circular Route, which extends south of the village. It also offers magnificent views and introduces you to more karst phenomena. These include the disappearing streams of the Ellerbach, several sinkholes, and the Merschetal with its former quarry, where the layering of the limestone can be clearly seen. The Dahler Sculpture Trail is also part of the Paderborn Karst Circular Route.
