Cycle path R 18 in Herzebrock-Clarholz

The marketplace in Clarholz is a good starting point for the nearly 18-kilometer circular tour. The church square of St. Laurentius Church and the former Premonstratensian monastery with its carefully restored garden are right next door. A visit there could be a nice conclusion to the bike ride.

The tour itself quickly leads out of the village and then mostly over small roads with little car traffic. You ride leisurely through many meadows, fields, and farmland. Farms on the left and right, occasionally along the edge of the forest... that's what makes biking fun. With around 18 kilometers in length in the flat countryside, the tour is not a sporting challenge. But that doesn't matter: as a family outing, it's all the more suitable.

At the end, you ride back through the village to the starting point. Park the bike, have an ice cream, or stop at the Old Gasthaus Rugge, depending on the weather inside or in the beer garden at the church square. On Sunday afternoons, a visit to the museum in the Kellnerei is also recommended.
