On the viaduct cycle path, you will get to know historic viaducts - there are actually two of them here - tunnels and railway tracks. You will get to know the old Buker train station, which lost its former importance at the major traffic junction in Altenbeken. And of course, the 044 steam locomotive must not be missing, which found its place in front of the Egge Museum in 1977 after over one and a half million kilometers of travel.
The almost 50 km long circular tour is quite challenging, as the Egge Mountains are not only scenically very attractive, but also score with their demanding heights. While you reach the lowest point at 185 meters at the Kleiner Viaduct in the Dune, you climb up to 421 meters to the Eggekamm. But don't worry, there are plenty of idyllic rest areas along the way to catch your breath.
