Hike to the Kreuzberg near Bödefeld

Here, magnificent views, diverse nature, and the beautiful half-timbered village of Bödefeld are the highlights. The circular route takes you partly on gravel and asphalt paths, through various mixed forests and past numerous viewpoints. Once you reach above Bödefeld, you will already see the first half-timbered houses. In Bödefeld, there are numerous options for refreshments, where you can take a break with a delicious piece of cake and a cup of coffee. A look inside the church in the village and a visit to the village square are worthwhile. Here, you can relax by the small stream and enjoy the tranquility of the village. Afterwards, you continue steeply uphill via the old Stations of the Cross path and hike through fir and deciduous forests to the small chapel on Kreuzberg. The reward is a fantastic panorama with a view towards Ramsbeck. Then we hike to Mechterkruse and return via the right side of the valley through Valmetal back to the hiking car park.
