Mountain Lake Tour

Starting at the tourist information office in Winterberg, this circular tour first leads in a long, pleasant descent over Silbach down to Siedlinghausen, always following the cycle path R16.
In the town center of Siedlinghausen, you leave R16 and turn south. You climb up to Meisterstein, where after a short walk a perfect rest area with an impressive view of the mountain lake awaits you. The 7-9 m deep lake is a remnant of the former diabase quarry. However, entering the mountain lake is prohibited. The area is under private ownership.
Then you ride back down to Silbach, cross the L740 and R16 and follow the hiking trail Sb3 uphill to the wayside shrine and hut of Saint Blasius. From there, it is a fast descent down until you meet the Ruhr Valley Cycle Path, which leads back to Winterberg.
