In the Wittgenstein Switzerland

A family-friendly circular route through the Wittgensteiner Schweiz, offering plenty of variety: the C1 from the Struthbach/Teiche hiking car park.
The trail is largely well signposted, making it easy for even young hikers to become the guide. It takes us along forest paths, asphalt roads, and dirt trails, through deciduous and coniferous forests as well as meadows and pastures - all on a relatively short route of about 7.6 km.
The car can be parked at the Struthbach hiking car park, where the circular route also begins. It is recommended to turn right downhill immediately here - the opportunity for a refreshment stop is not right at the beginning of the hike, keeping the motivation high.... The trail now initially leads a bit downhill, crosses the K40, later the rushing Struthbach, and circles around a part of the Christianseck canon settlement with cemetery and church. In these areas, you can see in many places the immense force with which the storms of recent years have caused damage in the forests.
Next, the trail follows the asphalt road for about 80 meters in altitude to Hof Teiche, where you can treat yourself to homemade noodles and sausages, canned venison goulash, or simply a hot cocoa at the restaurant located there. The last 1.5 km back to the car park impress with beautiful views of a landscape that truly lives up to the name "Wittgensteiner Schweiz."
