SauerlandRadring for families

Schmallenberg, Eslohe, Finnentrop, and Lennestadt are the four main towns located on the SauerlandRadring.
On the route, follow the logo with the bat. Starting in Schmallenberg, it goes slightly uphill towards Bad Fredeburg. It rolls comfortably through the towns of Mailar, Dorlar, and Bremke until reaching Eslohe. From there, it continues on the former railway track through the bat tunnel to Finnentrop. Along the River Lenne, you ride through the beautiful valley until Saalhausen.
The witnesses of the railway's technical past are partly preserved next to the track: in addition to old signal systems, buffer stops, and wagons, you can also admire old steam engines. And as a special highlight, the famous "Fledermaustunnel" in Kückelheim awaits the cyclists.
Along the route, you will find not only exciting views but also plenty of playgrounds and recreational opportunities for the whole family. For example, the LandDampfLeute Museum in Eslohe. In the machinery museum, you can marvel, touch, participate, and experience.
