The Panorama Trail leads 154 km over the heights of the Wittgenstein mountains. On this trail you will get to know the country and its people in the southernmost corner of Westphalia.It goes along the old district border that includes Bad Berleburg, Bad Laasphe and Erndtebrück until 1974. Hike over mountain ridges and through beautiful meadow valleys. Characteristic of this area are the endless forests, the lively streams and the picturesque individual farms.
Due to its altitude profile, the trail is quite demanding, but mostly leads along easily accessible forest paths, so that even a less experienced hiker can make good progress.
As an independent long-distance trail, the Wittgenstein Panorama Trail is marked throughout with a white "W" on a black background.
