F8 local hiking trail Feudingen "Mackelshelle-Fairy Meadow-Hohe Ley"

The hiking trail starts at the hiking map near the Volksbank, crosses the street "Im großen Hof", passes by the oldest house in Feudingen and the old bakehouse with an adjacent green area with a bench for resting. Along the street "In den Weiherhöfen", you pass by the swimming pool and the community hall, cross the Kalterbach Lahn bridge to the Vesperinsel (green area with seating, hiking map, and parking lot).
We then continue, always following the hiking trail F8, a short steep ascent with impressively beautiful views over the Lahn and Auerbach valleys, up to Mackelshelle. Once again, there is a very short steep left ascent, where we are welcomed by the entrance portal of the "Allee der Jahresbäume" (Alley of the Year Trees). Then, we continue along the slope, only slightly uphill. On this path, accompanied by various trees with their information panels, we once again enjoy magnificent views of Feudingen and the Lahn valley. Here we also find the Rothaarsteig rose planted on the occasion of the inauguration of the certified Rothaarsteig trail "Ilsetalpfad". Furthermore, a particularly long bench invites us to linger and enjoy. Afterwards, we continue through a high forest heavily thinned by wind damage. In a left turn, you can take a short detour to the "Old Sports Field", later also called "Fairy Tale Meadow". The path continues until we reach the path leading downhill to the "Boden" (ground). Here we also leave the Ilsetalpfad, identical to our hiking trail F8 from the hiking map at the Vesperinsel. Across the "Boden", a highland area used as grassland today below the "Hohe Ley" and above the "Sasselberg" with a little head, we continue downhill following the F8. This path once again offers a wonderful view of Feudingen and the Lahn valley towards Feudingerhütte and Bermershausen from a different perspective. Finally, we return to our starting point via the streets "Am Sasselberg", "Zum Ilsetal", and "Im großen Hof" to the hiking map near the Volksbank on Sieg-Lahn-Straße.
