Möhnetal cycle path with children - From Warstein to the Möhne reservoir

On the tour, many things can be discovered: in addition to attractive places, the Möhne Valley presents itself from its most beautiful side. Floodplain landscapes with lush meadows, green forests, and gentle hills shape the image during the tour.
And the Möhne Valley is undergoing changes: Parts of the floodplain have been renaturalized through the "Möhne Life" project. Flowery valley meadows and light floodplain forests are being restored for many animal and plant species of the low mountain valleys, offering cyclists an even greater nature experience.
In the second half of the tour, the path leads along the edge of the Möhne Reservoir and finally ends at the imposing and over 100-year-old dam, which is still the heaviest monument in North Rhine-Westphalia. From there, there is a great view over the Möhne Reservoir dam.
Large sections of the Möhne Valley Cycle Path run absolutely flat on a former railway line.
