At the summit of Burgberg was the Hesselbacher Wallburg, which was built by Celts or Germans. The construction and use of the complex surrounded by a rampart is dated to the La Tène period or the third century BC. Its oval interior is 250 m long and 120 m wide. (Source: Wikipedia)
