Gold Village Route Niedersorpe

Guests hike through one of the most beautiful valleys of the Hochsauerland region on the Golddorf-Route Niedersorpe, whose marking sign is a golden G on a red background. From the hiking portal at the entrance of the village, the path initially leads a short distance to the southwest, passes the glittering river Sorpe, and then ascends towards Waldemei. A visit to the blacksmith shop Klute with its impressive sculpture park is worthwhile. Hikers continue towards Burgberg, cross the stream Lüttmecke, and hike in a large loop through the Sorpe Valley back to Niedersorpe. The chapel, built in 1739, is worth seeing: During the last renovation in 2005, remains of an older chapel and ceramic pieces from the 13th to 14th centuries were discovered.
