Round tour through the Langenbachtal nature reserve

In the Langenbachtal with its side valley, you can find ravines that consist mainly of extensive lean, moist, and wet grasslands in the valley area. During the vegetation period, in the Langenbachtal nature reserve, you can find, for example, the marsh eyebright or the narrow-leaved cotton grass. On the slopes and heights, you can still find remnants of the Hauberg (cooperative forest with oaks, birches, and coppice) known in the Siegerland region.
We follow the Langenbach and the hiking sign A1 for about 200m and then turn right uphill into the small Langenbachtal valley up to a soccer field at the end of the valley. The path then turns west and follows the sign A1 to a large wayside cross, which is often called Hasenbahnhof in this area. We now leave the trail marker A1 and after 100 meters, we see a forester's house to the right of the path in the forest. Then we follow the left turn at a garage. At several points further along the path above Langenholdinghausen, you have a beautiful view over the village and an orchard.
The return journey goes over the Steimelskopf (387m) and after 200 meters, we reach the hiking sign A1 again, which now accompanies us back to the parking lot. At the exit of the Langenbachtal, we reach the Dorint Parkhotel Siegen with a beautiful beer garden under tall trees.
