Espelkamp - Enjoying nature and playing minigolf

The bicycle route starts in Alt Espelkamp and leads over field paths initially to the southwest, where a beautiful forest and lake landscape awaits the visitor. Kleihügelsee is a bathing lake with a beach and sunbathing areas. Right next to it is Auesee, which is a protected natural area. The route continues to the west along fields and meadows to Schnakenpohl in Varlheide. The pond and moor landscape is located in a nature reserve and offers a great nature experience. Nearby is the inn "Zum goldenen Hecht", where you can fortify yourself for the rest of the route and play a round of mini golf. On the way back, the route leads to the Aue renaturation area, where the large Aue can be what it is - an Aue -. Finally, the Jewish cemetery is located on the way back, where old tombstones remind of the former Jewish community.
