Explorer Tour Blankenheim | Following the footsteps of Ahr and Eifel

The bike tour, which combines sections of the Ahr cycle path and the Eifel High Route, starts at the source of the Ahr in Blankenheim. In the middle of the historic town center, the Ahr springs from the cellar vault of a half-timbered house. The route then takes you through the Upper Ahr Valley. Here, where the Ahr slowly picks up speed and steadily grows, you can enjoy cycling along the Ahr cycle path and the disused railway track.
After Ahrhütte, you switch to the Eifel High Route. As the name suggests, you now explore the diverse landscape of the Eifel with its hills and panoramic views.
In the further course of the route, you reach the Freilinger See. Use the open space for a short break or a refreshing swim in the lake.
Also, the picturesque village of Mülheim, which impresses with its numerous half-timbered houses, is located on this route.
