VolumeTreasure - Domestic Flora and Fauna: uniquely beautiful

At the parking lot of the Fürwiggetalsperre, next to the almost 30 m high and 166 m long dam, it starts. The circular hiking trail runs along the ridge path. Those who only want to circle around Fürwigge can also choose the circular path along the shore for this purpose. On the themed path above the reservoir, information boards provide information about the local flora and fauna.
One information board also deals with the marshland in the Ebbegebirge: the water-saturated hillside and spring moors provide habitat for rare flowers and grasses; March lilies, cotton grass, and bog lilies can still be admired here. The black stork and the tawny owl have their reserves here, as well as rare butterfly species threatened with extinction.
Fürwiggetalsperre is a drinking water reservoir. Therefore, entering the shore areas is prohibited; however, relaxation "by the water" is provided by the two forest sofas (on the shore circular path).
Special features at the wayside: in addition to the information boards with exciting information and sometimes QR codes for further videos or audio tracks, you can also discover a treasure chest of experiences and a panoramic picture frame along the way.
