The first circular route (EAST) extends from Dörenhagen to the east and south, on this one can hike through all three districts of Dörenhagen, the Nonnenbusch/Friedwald area, and the Paderborn plateau. The second circular route (WEST) connects Dörenhagen with Haxtergrund, the popular recreational area of Paderborn. From there, there is also the possibility to "hike further" towards Paderborn, thus creating a perfect connection from "village to city".
Along the route, 12 information boards have been set up, providing information on history and culture: for example, you can learn about communication techniques during the time of the Prussians or about the changing locations of the Marian statue at the Stern in Haxtergrund.
