H2 Circular hiking trail "From the Ruhr Valley to the Hickenstein"

This Lassoweg is marked with the symbol H2. The ideal starting point is south of the Mühlencenter in Herdecke on the Ruhr. 200 meters away is the bus stop Hengsteyseestraße, where all Herdecke bus lines converge, and Herdecke train station is also just one kilometer away.
The access to the actual circular path leads on a level stretch along the Ruhr towards Harkortsee. After about 800 meters, you reach Herdecke's landmark, the Ruhrviadukt.
Here you turn right and reach the fairly steep "Bausenweg" via a narrow footpath and about 500 meters of road. Going down the "Oberen Dellweg," you reach the Kemnade until the parking lot "Am Hickenstein." Now one of Herdecke's steepest passages begins, the former path of the charcoal burners and forest workers, leading up the mountain to the ridge. You cross the "Oberen Dellenweg," walk down to the large intersection with the shelter on the mountain, and then back to the "Oberen Dellenweg," which leads you back to the access and starting point.
