The approximately three-kilometer circular tour introduces visitors to the typical animals in the beech forest under the motto "Lots going on in the forest." For example, a sow suddenly appears with her six piglets, or two badgers watch the explorers from the edge of the path. Squirrels climb around the Forester-Funke oak tree, a magnificent stag stands majestically upright, and a bat hangs lazily in the treetops.
At the seven additional stations, children - and adults - learn a lot of interesting facts about life in the forest. The focus here is on active exploration. Children are encouraged to sneak through the undergrowth as quietly as possible, imitate the ways animals move, or listen to the voices of forest animals at an audio station. In addition, a huge climbing structure over two fallen trees and a balance beam challenge dexterity.
