The hike, which is signposted throughout with yellow markings, leads over the gigantic dam wall past the tourist area of the Pöhl dam landing stage and the Gunzenberg campsite in the direction of Voigtsgrün. Along the way, beautiful viewpoints and refreshment stops invite you to linger.
The Neuensalz and Thoßfell dams are crossed. From Thoßfell to Gansgrün, the hiking trail runs along the road, otherwise mainly on field and forest paths, which is why it is not suitable for baby carriages or wheelchairs.
On your tour, you can also learn about the history of the sunken village of Pöhl, which had to give way to the floods of the Pöhl Dam in 1964, at numerous information boards and enjoy the flora and fauna of the "Vogtland Sea".
