The 900-year-old lace town of Plauen, which is well worth seeing, is the starting point of this tour, which can of course also be hiked in the other direction.
The starting point is the Waldfrieden terminus of the streetcar line. You then walk through the underpass of the B173, past the gas station on the left and along the Hohlweg. You then walk along the Friesenbach stream. Now follow the white and red markings and cross Voigtsgrüner Straße until you reach Voigtsgrüner Bucht.
Once you arrive at the Voigtsgrün permanent campsite, you have the opportunity to enjoy the cool waters of the "Vogtland Sea".
