Viewing platform Viaduct:

Arriving in Altenbeken, the viaduct inaugurated in 1853 immediately catches the eye, which has been under monument protection since 1988. The 482 m long and up to 35 m high railway bridge is the largest limestone bridge in Europe. From the viewing platform, the impressive structure can be admired up close during a short stop.

Velmerstot:

The Velmerstot is the northernmost and highest mountain in the Eggegebirge. Its special feature is its two peaks: the 441 m high Lippische Velmerstot and the Prussian Velmerstot located around 800 m away, which has a height of 468 m. The Eggeturm there, which already belongs to the municipality of Sandebeck in the district of Höxter, offers a unique view over the Teutoburg Forest, the Weser Uplands, and the Egge. In clear weather, even the contours of the Sauerland mountains can be identified.

Noak's Pump:

Noak's Pump in the Steinbeketal valley is named after the former forester Friedrich August Noak. While the former forester's house burned down in 1880 due to a lightning strike, the pump was still used until the 1980s to water the livestock kept in the surrounding pastures. In 1985, local history enthusiasts from Bad Lippspringe relocated the facility, which had been damaged several times during timber transports, causing it to lose its functionality.

Transformer Tower Station:

Located in the center of Schlangen, the Historical Transformer Tower Station Schlangen Mitte provides insights into the rural electrification, which began in 1912 with the commissioning of the tram. In 1925, the first transformer station was built, which was erected above the Schlänger Bach due to a lack of space ... a unique feature nationwide. For several years, the building expanded in 1956/57 and its almost completely preserved historical equipment, including transformer, control panels, and safety devices, have served as a power museum.
