Already the local poet Hermann Löns knew the natural beauties around Winkel and was inspired by them for his works. Following in his footsteps, the signposted themed path leads you through forest and heathland to the traditional sheepfold and the nature reserve Gifhorner Heide.
The nature trail Gifhorn-Winkel partially runs along the Hermann Löns hiking trail.
