Weser Cycle Route Circular Tour: Nienburg-Landesbergen

Discover a section of the Weser Cycle Path as a circular route on the main and alternative routes.

Sights along the route: Nienburg Old Town, Europe's most beautiful weekly market, museum landscape with Lower Saxony Asparagus Museum, Regional Museum and Lower Saxony Police Museum, Weser passenger shipping, Scheunenviertel and half-timbered church Estorf, Lock Landesbergen, Wedding Mill and historic Spieker Landesbergen, St. Laurentius Church and Water Mill Liebenau, Liebenauer Gruben with bird observation tower

Follow the main route from Nienburg on the eastern side of the Weser southwards. Through the Nienburg marshes to Leeseringen and further to Estorf (beautiful half-timbered church). In the historic Scheunenviertel "Schünebusch" there is a cyclist barn (group accommodation) set up.

The main route passes the Landesbergen weir, continues along the lock canal to the town center of Landesbergen with the Wedding Mill and the historic Spieker.

Cross the Weser bridge to the western side of the Weser. Here the alternative route leads via Liebenau with its beautiful town center, St. Laurentius Church and the water mill on the Große Aue northwards. Passing the Liebenauer Gruben (former gravel pits) with a bird observation tower, you will reach Nienburg/Weser.
