Nature experience tour

Ideal for beginners, the nature experience tour starts at the S-Bahn station "Strausberg" (Vorstadt), where you first follow the marking "ZR1" along the Herrensee to Rehfelde. Following the markings "R1" and "Tour Brandenburg" leads you to Lichtenow, an idyllic little village whose church invites you to visit. Via field and forest paths, you reach Hennickendorf. At the shore of Lake Stienitz, nature lovers take the path over a narrow footbridge through the Gummiwiesen. Here you can enjoy beautiful nature and cheerful bird chirping. If the path over the footbridge is too difficult, continue along the main road and past the picturesque Wachtelturm, which offers a fabulous panoramic view of the fascinating Barnim slopes. To continue the circular tour, follow the marking "Tour 5" to Hennickendorfer Chaussee. Turning left, you continue along the nature reserve Herrensee, Lange-Damm-Wiesen, and Barnim-Hänge to the level crossing. Turning left again, you return to the starting point. Adventurous individuals can continue to challenge themselves at the nearby climbing forest!
