Just under 100 km southeast of Berlin is a labyrinth of waterways, countless branches of the River Spree. A real exploration tour with an individual rhythm. Paddling, resting, and interesting stops can turn the 4 hours of pure paddling time into a day trip full of great discoveries. A visit to the Open-Air Museum Lehde, a break with typical Spreewald offerings, or simply lingering on the water, discovering the Spreewald in a completely different way than in the traditional Spreealdkahn. The circular tour leads through the inner Oberspreewald with primeval tall forests, fields, arable land, and meadows. Ancient willows with branches bending down into the water create a "legendary" atmosphere.
The natural floodplain landscape has been a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 1991, providing rare animals and plants with an ideal habitat. With some luck, storks, ospreys, or the corncrake can be observed. It is also exciting to discover how beautiful natural sounds are and how one's own paddle strokes propel the boat through this water labyrinth. Boats with accessories and tour information are available from boat rental companies in Lübbenau before the discovery journey can begin.
