The moss bank in Rotenkirchen is a short path in the middle of the forest and is perfect for nature lovers and those seeking tranquility.
Upon reaching the moss bank, a beautiful view of the Ilmetal awaits. This is the perfect spot for a picnic with this wonderful view.
The path can be walked on foot or mostly cycled with a bicycle.
The last stretch through the forest to the moss bank, however, can only be reached via a narrow, uneven forest path. Therefore, it is not ideal for cycling.
