Hike "Around Meyenburg"

The 12 km long hike starts at the water mill in Meyenburg and leads past the manor estate, the dairy farm, and the St. Luciae Church out of the village. In a large loop, you will walk around the small village and stroll along meadows, fields, and romantic streams. Watch the play of clouds in the sky or simply listen to the surroundings. After crossing the A27 motorway, the hiking trail runs parallel to the A27 in the forest area of Schmidts Kiefern. After crossing back over the A27, there is a megalithic tomb on the wayside. The stone tomb complex consists of 21 boulders and is 11 m long, 4 m wide, and weighs approximately 12 tons. The megalithic tombs in the region were created about 5,000 years ago and were used as burial sites over long periods of time. Once you have returned to the starting point, it's worth taking a short detour to the mill pond to relax a bit at the end of the round with a great view.
