Velbert-Nordrath to Velbert-Nierenhof
We start in Nordrath and quickly descend into the valley to Deilbach. This forms the border between the district of Mettmann and Hattingen, between the Rhineland and Westphalia, between two different mentalities and dialects.
Then we cross the Deilbach into Westphalia and it becomes alpine in the Elfringhauser Schweiz. On the next mountain, we see the WDR transmission towers of Langenberg (higher than the Eiffel Tower!) and finally reach the Felderbachtal. The forested stage ends at the S-Bahn station in Velbert-Nierenhof.
