Velbert-Nierenhof to Velbert
The stage starts at the S-Bahn in Velbert-Nierenhof and quickly we hike through a bright and light (primeval) forest. We walk north past Velbert-Langenberg and soon enjoy a premium view over the Ruhr area.
Hardly have we seen the Ruhr area, we are already in the city area of Essen. We continue through the ancient Asbach valley and then uphill again with first views of the key and castle city Velbert. We cross the A44 and the Neanderland STEIG leads us through the Langenhorster Wald and the Rosenbachtal.
In Velbert near the PanoramaRadweg niederbergbahn, this stage ends. If you are not yet tired of hiking, you can now cycle a little on the railway track path.
