Kingwinter - Oberdollendorf and its vineyards

Today, the cultivation area in Oberdollendorf, namely Rosenhügel, Laurentiusberg, and Sülzenberg has shrunk to just over 7 hectares and is operated by a winemaker, the Blöser family on Bachstraße. We take the hiking trail, past the new pond, towards Dollendorfer Hardt and cross the tall mixed forest, circle around the Hardt on the southern forest path and reach the Hülle, the viewpoint above the vineyard. Following the wine educational trail, we walk through the vineyards and reach Gut Sülz, the former manor of the monastery, and climb through the Mühlental, where there were once 18 mills. After passing the cemetery, we reach the orchards and enjoy the beautiful path, the fruits in autumn, and the beautiful view of the Oberkassel wall. After the buildings, we hike through former vineyards, which we can recognize by the wall structures with stairs and the inset bronze plaque. Near Haus Heisterberg, the Kellerberger vineyard was replanted, showcasing the old winegrowing tradition with Ramhölzer.
