The short hike takes you through the Leiberger Wald nature reserve. The dense deciduous forest and the Faulegrundsbach stream shape this route with its diverse nature. Historically, the old church site Andepen and the plague cemetery are significant aspects along the way. In the 17th century, 400 plague victims were buried in the plague cemetery. The sandstone plague cross commemorates the epidemic. To this day, a procession is held once a year in memory of the dead at this mystical place.
