Circular route: Leinepolder Ducksteinquelle Quastbuche

Einbeck Mitte:
The tour starts in Einbeck Mitte at the New Town Hall from there you go to Grimselstraße towards Altendorfer Tor where you cross the Ilme river and head towards Salzderhelden.

TIP: The parking lot at the New Town Hall is free and the train station is right next to it. If you want to fortify yourself before the tour, there is a small cafe-bistro called Panache right next to the new Town Hall.

Salzderhelden:
In Salzderhelden, drive towards the flood retention basin and then along Leinepolder where you can take a short break to observe rare bird species at the observation points.
Tip: Along Leinepolder, you will also find information boards with descriptions.

When you pass the nature reserve Waterfowl Reserve Northeimer Seenplatte, head towards Holtensen.

Holtensen:
From Holtensen, head towards the forest to Ducksteinquelle, from now on you will drive right through nature.

TIP:
The Ducksteinquelle constantly bubbles 8 liters of water per second. Endangered and protected moss species are native to the spring area. A shelter and tables and benches next to it invite you to rest and celebrate.

Rotenkirchen:
From Rotenkirchen, head towards Hullersen, from Hullersen it is only a few kilometers to Einbeck. In the center of Rotenkirchen, there is an information point.
