On 11 kilometers of the Schnupperrunde route, the life and work of Chief Forester Erdmann and the uniqueness of his mixed forest are presented at three selected stations. It also deals with nature conservation and two special tree species, which are presented as a group, avenue, or distinctive individual tree on the cycle path.
The cycle path crosses various forest areas near Bassum-Neubruchhausen. One starting point is located in Neubruchhausen at the old chief forester's office.
