God's path

On the way to Bessingen you will be accompanied by a magnificent view to the west over the "Himdorfer Feld". There you will not only learn about the origin of the water with the special taste during a sample of the spring water from the sulfur spring, but also about the legendary events of 1757 concerning the stolen war chest.
Above the village, a bench in front of the impressive landscape invites you to take a break. On the way to the cliff ridge, you will hear the legend of Adam and Eve. Once you reach the ridge path, you will arrive at the pagan cult area around the Fahnenstein via the Falkenstein.
The god images have recently been rediscovered on this god stone. From the viewing platform, you can look beyond Coppenbrügge to Osterwald and even as far as Hanover on a clear day. After the steep descent and on the way back to the starting point, you will learn more about the Devil's Kitchen as a cult cave and a place where the Pied Piper may have been lured to at the edge of the forest.
