Just switch quickly from the handlebar to the paddle? No problem on the Lune: The tributary of the Unterweser is an excellent area to observe wildlife along the banks from a canoe.
A highlight on the route, worth getting off the bike for, is the Fabian and Sebastian Church in Beverstedt. The imposing "farmer's cathedral" is hard to miss in the small community. The many listed buildings also invite you to take a walk through the village.
The sculpture park in Kramelheide offers unusual sights with its partly whimsical objects by artists from northern Germany.
In the vicinity of the sculpture park, there is an interesting archaeological site, the remains of the Monsilienburg. Today, only earthworks and small elevations bear witness to what was once the largest medieval castle in Northern Europe.
