The Hölter - cycling route through the forests

This 50 km long circular route leads through the idyllic forests of the Geestland. The numerous bodies of water and the beauty of the Geestland moors ensure that there is plenty of variety on this route.
A highlight of the route is the Moor Information Center (MoorIZ) in the old peat works. In an interactive exhibition, visitors have the opportunity to explore the past and future of the Ahlenmoor. Another "must-do" in the Ahlenmoor is a hike on the idyllic wooden plank paths of the Moor Adventure Trail in Flögeln. On this approximately 2 km long circular route, visitors can marvel not only at the special natural landscape with its flora and fauna, but also learn a lot about it.
For those interested in history, there are over 4,000-year-old burial mounds to discover around Drangstedt. With around 100 burial sites, this is the largest concentration in Europe in the smallest area.
