Weser Cycle Route Alternative Route, Stage 6: From Verden to Bremen

From Verden, the cycle path runs along the left bank of the Weser to Achim. There are two ways to cross the Weser to access the alternative route to Achim. One is via the Intscheder Wehr or later with the ferry "Gentsiet" (May-October).
Shortly before Achim, you change sides of the Weser and ride on the right bank of the Weser past the Achim Windmill and the city center of Achim. Achim presents its charming pedestrian zone, between modernity and old architecture, with highlights such as the Achim Windmill, the Clüverhaus, and the St. Laurentius Church. From Achim, the alternative route leads on the right bank of the Weser directly to the city center of the Hanseatic city of Bremen.
