In the nature reserve Hohes Moor, the trumpet call of the crane can be heard again, a symbol of the success story of nature conservation in this area. Typical bog plants such as sundew and peat moss have resettled here. Along the circular path, information boards provide interesting facts about the flora and fauna and the development of the landscape. Among other things, you pass by the Oldendorfer See, which is one of the oldest nature reserves in the region. In the Blumenthaler Moor area, one can imagine how the landscape once looked, a large, open area without tall shrubs.
