Seebach "Steinreiche" Berg-Erlebnistour

Challenging hike over the Hohfelsen.

This partly challenging tour leads from Seibelseckle right next to the rest hut to Mummelsee. From the Mummelsee parking lot, the trail first heads downhill via the Elsaweg to the Hohfelsen. A narrow cul-de-sac takes you to the exposed rock massif with the summit cross. It was erected by the Seebach Kolping Society for the many war dead, but also for the soldiers from the home community of Seebach who often returned home from long captivity. Climbing the rock massif, which is secured with a railing, is rewarded with a wonderful view of the Grimmerswald valley and the surrounding Black Forest mountains. From the Hohfelsen, the hike continues via the Busterbächer Hütte (with seating area and fountain) past numerous boulder dumps to the beautiful view (seating area) and from there to the Wolfsbrunnen quarry. After crossing the quarry, we reach the Wolfsbrunnen (refreshments available at the Kaminstub'n). From the inn, the trail leads uphill again along the "Seebächle" stream. Past the active quarry and later past a quarry that has been reclaimed by nature, the trail climbs steeply through the wonderful forest to the starting point at Seibelseckle (refreshments available).
