The landscape conservation area along the River Spree shows itself from its most beautiful side quite early. The pristine banks, lush meadows, and dense reed belts with the animals living in them begin the day with you. The longest two-day stage with around 40 km is right at the beginning of your great Märkische tour and could bring a little headwind.
With two locks and a boat slide, the first beautiful adventures await you along the way. You start at Spreepark in Beeskow and follow the course of the Drahendorfer Spree into the Spree, where on the opposite bank there is a former forester's house. To ensure your first leg of the tour is not too strenuous, it is best to spend the night in your tent in Neubrück on Lake Wergensee. On the second day, you will celebrate your premiere as lock master at the Neubrücker self-service lock. The simply explained signage will help you pass the lock smoothly.
The second lock will encounter you in Fürstenwalde, where you can take the canoe ashore for the day.
