Wennigloher Circular Route

The starting point for this promising, moderately difficult circular hike is the hiking portal at the sports field in Wennigloh. Follow the hiking sign "Wennigloher Rundweg" in the south-west direction up the Heuweg. After about 1.8 km, you pass the Heckenberg at an altitude of 400 meters, continue uphill and reach the highest point of the tour at the intersection with 407 meters. Here, turn left and follow the circular path parallel to the forest route towards "Jägerbänke". The "Jägerbänke" offer a good resting opportunity. Continue to the right onto a paved path following the hiking sign "Wennigloher Rundweg". After about 6 kilometers, you reach the open shelter at the "Nonnenkuhle". Here, too, there is a good opportunity for a rest. Continue on the unpaved path over the "Hohen Nacken" towards "Seltersberg". Passing the Selterberg hiking parking lot, continue towards Kreuzberg. Passing another shelter, we descend and cross the Walpke Bach on a bridge - at 220 meters, this is the lowest point of the circular path. Here we have to cross the highway and walk 110 meters uphill on the unpaved Löckepfad. After reaching a gravel forest path, turn left in the south-west direction. Always following the trail marker, you can now enjoy the first views of Wennigloh. After 12 kilometers, you reach the starting point, the sports field in Wennigloh.
