Innovation Center Dörentrup
The Innovation Center in Dörentrup of the Lippe district sees itself as a place for development, communication, and consolidation of measures and strategies. It acts as a think tank for specific future issues in rural areas. It engages in dialogue with the population, science, and economy to develop future scenarios and solutions for central questions of rural areas.

Wendlinghausen Castle
Wendlinghausen Castle & Estate is one of the most magnificent buildings of Weser Renaissance from the early 17th century due to its unique architecture. The estate enchants with its distinctive charm during castle festivals, weddings, and conferences.

Jewish Cemetery
The Jewish cemetery is located on Sibbentruper Strasse not far from the railway overpass. It was placed under monument protection in 2009. The cemetery was established shortly before 1850 and documents the existence of Jewish fellow citizens who belonged to the Barntrup synagogue community. Five tombstones have been preserved on the small lawn surrounded by a hornbeam hedge. A small tombstone shows the year 1946, a larger one made of polished granite bears the inscription Kaufmann Katz... 1894.

Hofladen Schweinerei
The farm shop offers delicious products from pigs, soft ice cream, coffee specialties, regional products, a children's playground, benches to relax, and petting chickens.

Schiedersee
The lake was created in the late 1970s and completed as a recreational area in the early 1980s. With the "MS Schiedersee," you can enjoy a boat tour on the beautiful lake with its numerous waterfowl and even beavers from April to September. At the ship's dock is the leisure center "Funtastico," the restaurants Breitengrad, See-Terrassen, and Moses Hütte. Also in close proximity to the lake are the Schieder outdoor pool and a pony farm.
