Route Island Circular Path

The Loopdeelenweg "Dünenkamm Ronde Plate", completed in 2021, allows for a beautiful island round trip of approximately 20 kilometers. This route takes you, for example, from the music pavilion along the promenade to Café Seeblick and from there through the dunes to the airfield. Then, you continue on the bike and hiking trail past farmhouses and Café Ostland to the viewpoint dune "Steerenk-Klipp". Along the New Dyke, through Reedestraße and Greune Stee, you will reach the TenneT Bridge.
From there, you will reach the newly built 655-meter long Loopdeelenweg "Dünenkamm Ronde Plate" and return to the music pavilion via the Schwarzen Deich and the South Beach. On this tour, you will experience all facets of the diverse Borkum nature with the waterfronts, dunes, and island forests.
Important to know: Cycling is unfortunately not allowed on the promenade near the music pavilion and in parts of the South Beach.
