At the end of Rathausstraße, opposite the Stabkirche, turn left. After a few meters, turn right and go uphill towards the "Rodelbahn". Follow this path for about 200 meters. You will reach the Schalker Grabenweg (marked: 5G, blue cross), which will lead you to the Upper Grumbacher Teich. The path offers beautiful views over the Middle and Upper Grumbacher Teich. You can stop for a break, for example, at Café Egerland. Take the same path back to reach Hahnenklee or turn right at Café Egerland and you will reach Hahnenklee via the cleared hiking trail from Kreuzeck over Bockswiese.
