Queen's Path

The path leads you to Kronsbergheide, where the heather queen is elected and crowned annually in August. Follow the enchanting heath streams Lopau and Luhe on shady paths. Hike past the forest pool and campsites before refreshing yourself in the water-treading basin. Enjoy wide views of the "Crown of the Heath" to the east of Amelinghausen. Your hike takes you further over the Bockallee into the pristine landscape of Hersebünte. Opportunities for refreshments and rest stops are available along the Lopausee and directly in the center of Amelinghausen. Along the way, you can discover exciting information about the heather queen in stamp boxes. Collect stamp imprints for the Amelinghausen Heath Diploma and combine the tour into a small rally - fun for young and old.
