At the beginning of the tour, you hike along narrow sandy paths at the edge of an extremely steep valley. The slopes of the spectacular valley cut, formed by meltwater streams at the end of the last ice age, are particularly dense with heather and juniper. The path continues through a protective deciduous forest, on a route with so many inclines that you surely wouldn't have expected in the Lüneburg Heath! A particularly beautiful stretch through the pristine juniper heath sweetens the ascent back to the starting point of the tour.
