Castle path (Tour 5)

The place Bruchhausen-Vilsen has around 40 km of marked hiking trails. By combining different paths, circular routes of various lengths are created (Tour 1-Tour 7). The routes lead through gentle hills, fields, lush meadows past streams and through intact nature around Bruchhausen-Vilsen.

The diversity of nature and the beauty of the seasons make these paths ideal for discovery tours. Places to stop for a break, points of interest, and special features are included in the respective tour descriptions. The routes are easily recognizable by the signs and generally lead along well-maintained paths.

Tour 5 Castle Route from the i-point/TourismService at the train station via Bruchhausen and Stapelhorn to Gehlbergen (7 km, Marking: Castle):

The starting point is at Bruchhausen-Vilsen train station. From there, the route passes by the Narrow-Gauge Railway Museum, the water play area, and the motorhome parking lot, then leads over the large marketplace to Bruchhausen Castle. The scenic path continues along the main canal of the Melioration, the formerly largest irrigation and drainage system in Europe, through Stapelshorn to Gehlbergen. The return option is via Tour 3 Wöpser Kirchweg (Marking: Church).
