Whether at the various meeting points and places to linger in Salzgitter-Bad or along the Innerste with the Ringelheim Castle Park, Salzgitter shows itself from its beautiful side here and offers plenty to see and linger. There is also something educational to discover along the way. Salzgitter-Ringelheim with its train station as a hub of two regional railway connections is recommended as a starting point. For a rest stop halfway, the state-recognized town with its brine spa operation, Salzgitter-Bad, offers numerous possibilities. Going through the old town with small owner-managed shops and ice cream parlors, the journey continues to Gitter to the open-air museum. Returning via Hohenrode to Ringelheim, it goes along the Innerste River, where in some places in summer there is a good opportunity to cool off.
